Are you planning to design or supply solar panel systems for commercial buildings? VENI Metering provides solutions that make it easy to implement solar panels power in commercial buildings with multiple tenants.

We facilitate solar power – whatever starting point

In buildings supplied with our meters, everything is set up to implement a solution for metering and paying for solar power. In buildings with other solutions, VENI Metering’s metering solution must need to be installed before we can establish a solar power solution.

For buildings that already have a metering solution from VENI Metering, it is important that we are informed in advance about the planned solar panel installation. This way, we can ensure that the property owner receives the value of the solar power from the first day of production. VENI Metering’s solution requires an operational agreement with the property owner.

Ordering and placement of meters for solar power production

Solar power production must be metered with a MID-approved AMS meter provided by VENI Metering, in addition to the necessary current transformers and meter switches. We are happy to supply metering equipment to the panel builder, allowing the equipment to be installed in the panel cabinet before delivery to the building. The preferred solution is to install the meter directly behind the main meter.

How does the process start?

Contact us as early as possible. The responsible installer or electrician for the solar panel system needs to order the metering equipment from VENI Metering.

Which type of meter will be used?

 A large AMS meter for production will be used.

How will the meters be installed?

Meters should normally be installed behind the main meter and not behind a series meter. Meters for solar energy should be installed by the responsible installer/electrician for the solar panel system. VENI Metering coordinates the installation.

What information does VENI Metering need?

We need information about the voltage, the size of the inverter fuse, and the meter number of the main meter.

Individual measurement & billing and tenant consumption

To ensure accurate billing and the ability to monitor consumption, it is recommended that all tenants are billed with individual meters. An individual meter ensures that each tenant pays for the energy they consume, and provides access to digital data via the HAN port.
